The Cheshire Life and Times of Two Sisters - JOE1

£50.00

Joe Scarborough sat down to afternoon tea in Finney Green Cottage, Wilmslow, and Cheshire, which dates back to 1705.   He asked the two Cheshire girls to recall their childhood days.

Their father worked for Simon Engineering in Cheadle Heath.  One of the sisters taught at Peel moat School, which you can see in the picture.  If you look closely at Vernon’s Greengrocers, London Road, Hazel Grove you may recognise Percy from Coronation Street, well this is where he did his shopping.

You can catch the bus to Nelstrop Road, and then enjoy a pint in the Royal Oak, before visiting the Antique Shop in Hillgate, Stockport which was the home of their grandfather.

Many Saturday afternoons were spent shopping at Glossop Market where you could enjoy the most delicious lemon meringue pie in a quaint little teashop.

The QE2 is a very special feature in the picture that is where one of the sisters found romance and the love of her life!!!!
